Nicole Farrell is the founder and CEO of Rubber City Development Consulting. A grant writer of 6 years, Nicole leverages her varied nonprofit experience to best support small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations in reaching their development goals. An intersectional feminist and a believer in wealth redistribution, Nicole utilizes her grant writing skills to root out injustice in communities and drive equity for LGBTQIA+ rights, women’s rights, reproductive rights, food justice, economic justice, disability justice, and more. A lifelong learner, Nicole is actively participating in educational activities including reading justice-aligned books and participating in online courses and webinars, to help further develop herself as a human and a grant writer.
Outside of Rubber City Development Consulting, Nicole is a grant writer for Funding for Social Change, a diverse and intersectional collective of grant writers, creative designers, and consultants helping nonprofits with a focus on social justice and racial equity work. In her work with Funding for Social Change, Nicole manages multiple clients with a focus on Gender, LGBTQ, & Reproductive Justice. In addition, Nicole is a coach, consultant, and socialpreneurship educator for Nonprofit for Newbies, an organization dedicated to providing information and assistance to new nonprofit founders with a vision for a better world.
In addition to grant writing and nonprofit development, Nicole is launching her next business, Akron Mystery Vault in April of 2022. This business will diverge from Nicole’s regular positions and offer excentric retail items via vending machines in her hometown of Akron, OH. Nicole is also writing a novel with the aim to send it to publishing by January 2023.
Katie joined the Rubber City Development Consulting team as a grant writer in 2022. She attended Walsh University pursuing a double major in Professional Writing and Adolescent English Education, offering her expertise in English to our team. Katie’s first experience working with nonprofits was through volunteering with local nonprofits including a local wildlife center, after school tutoring program, and an English as a Second language program.
Tatianna joined the Rubber City Development Team in 2022 to assist with research and administrative functions. She attended Georgia State University to attain her degree in Nursing. She is passionate about animal rights, especially for her canine kids, and has experience working in healthcare and childcare. Her five-year goal is to develop nonprofits to improve children's health and promote pet adoptions.
